Christian Unions

So, you're spending a year in a French university town?

You can be really useful in helping the GBU on your campus.  The GBU, or "Groupes Bibliques Universitaires", is the equivalent in France of the Christian Unions in the UK.

Often these groups are fairly small and welcome any one who wants to get involved - sticking up posters, praying, giving out flyers, inviting friends... even leading Bible studies!  Regional training weekends are a great opportunity to learn and also to meet other Christian students.

You can visit the web site and find out where the group meets in your University - or if they don't have a regular place to meet because of the pressures of "laïcité" (and if you don't know what that means you'll soon find out in France!), then there'll be the phone number or email address of someone to contact.

Welcome to the GBU!

General Secretary of the GBU,
