Introducing France Mission
Founded in 1957, France Mission is
an evangelical movement with 50 years of experience sharing the message
of the Bible in France, and tracing its roots back to the earliest days
of French Protestantism.
One of France's most dynamic church-planting organisations, France
Mission has a vision to see evangelical churches grow through
multiplication. France Mission has demonstrated that healthy,
faith-sharing churches can plant daughter-churches within a few years.
Today, France Mission has over 60 churches in nine regions of
France.
France Mission's churches tend to be small (under 100 people),
democratic in structure, informal in style, and distinctly
non-ecclesiastical in their premises, with converted shops, banks,
garages and factories pressed into service.
Of France Mission's 125 missionaries, 14 come from the UK.
A French-led organisation, France Mission is supported by the
prayers of thousands of Christians in the English-speaking world.
France Mission's own growth is mirrored across France as a whole. Since 1970, when there were around 900 evangelical congregations, church growth in France has been spectacular, with over 1,400 new churches being added in the last 40 years. A new evangelical church is now planted somewhere in France every ten days!
In this video, Raphaël Anzenberger, pastor of the FM church in
Loches, explains the importance of church-planting in France:
